Mountain Meadows

This was painted on site last week and then finished at home today. The location is called Conboy Reserve near Mt. Adams. We located a little turn off from the road and I painted in the shadow of some aspen trees. The quiet of the place was only broken by the noise of birds and of course bugs. It is early yet and so the bugs are not as bad as I think they will be later this summer, it still get pretty cold here at night. Not sure if this is finished but nearly so.......

Hi Donna, I think your blog could be a very pleasant experience. I have suggested that you take some pictures as your painting progresses, and that you post those pictures with comments so that we can experience the painting as you did while it developed.

Great idea Glen. In the morning I am headed out to paint in the Columbia River Gorge, weather permitting of course, and it will be easy to take photos as I go. Thank you for the suggestions. Donna
