Meadowlarks

Here is a Meadowlark from Klickitat County.  They are everywhere and make such a pretty sound.

Below are two paintings that I reworked and now have them framed and ready to go.

Thank you Ida and Donna. I am still trying out oil painting and am going to go out plein air oil painting soon. I am finding the combination of using oil and pastel highly compatible, and using an oil study very helpful in reducing the complexity of the scene. Cannot get a brush around all that little detail. It is kind of like doing a color Notan.
