The War of Art or The Fallen Woman

Today's paint location was The Dalles Mountain Ranch Columbia Hills State Park. A beautiful day and we were up early and I was painting at first light. I got the under painting done and stopped to take a few photo's. The last photo before the big event. You can see that I am up on a hill and looking down. Came down the hill twisted my ankle and now I am in a cast. What a big day. One would think that plein air painting is not very dangerous. A big day for us.

wow, Donna! what a "turn" of events! What did Buckley think of all this?? Maybe you will have to become a sitter at the easel for awhile. I am sorry that this happened...but glad that you were not hurt even worse. I'm sending up white-light-healing positive thoughts for your quick recovery!

Donna, missed out on the eventful day today (left early) and sorry to see you ended up in a cast! Was sooo nice to finally meet you! Hopefully you can still get around with that leg up!

Plein air painting isn't supposed to put you in a cast! I'm so sorry that happened Donna. Heal quickly and let Buckley run the house for a while.

Thank you everyone.
Crutches are way more difficult than I
thought. The pain is pretty intense.
Buckley is at my side.

Good grief! Came to your blog via Celeste Bergin (she is one of my favs!). Sorry to hear about your accident. Wishing you a very speedy recovery!

Also, took a look at Buckley. He is adorable. I have a ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Maggie. She is a GREAT dog!!

Oh, Donna, what a painful awful thing to happen, may your healing be speedy and the pain go away. Crutches are a pain, too, as one discovers arm muscles that don't exist!

Hi Charlie! And thank you. Yes on the crutches, I can see that in a week or two my arms and legs will be strong, the hard part is getting there. It feels like I am getting a extreme weight lifting workout every day.
