Youth, hanging out together, probably looking for some trouble. I've never seen a bald eagle in person Donna. They are stunning up in the tree like that!
Hi Donna T. Yes these youth's have found a free lunch. Along the Klickitat River is a back-water area where Salmon come in to spawn and it allows easy pickings for these big birds. I tried for a good picture of an adult with the white bald head, but was not able to get anything good. I like the youths' though. Spawning season is over and so there were not as many birds as we have heard about. Sometimes 50 eagles in January? Next year we will try to get there earlier in the year.
