Art Day with The Master and Commander!

An art day does not always include painting. Sometimes a good art day is simply spent in nature. My favorite activity (besides painting ) includes a nice hike on a high mountain trail. Buckley has reached an age where some activities are no longer viable. To accommodate his advancing age we took him for a kayak trip. He seemed to enjoy his commanding view. For me the water reflections, views of the basalt cliffs and the Pelicans created images to feed my soul.

We saw a bunch of Pelicans. For some reason Pelicans are both humorous and beautiful. Buckley (The Master and Commander) was captivated!

That is a precious photo of you and Captain Buckley! How wonderful that you are able to enjoy this kind of activity with him. I'm sure it fed his soul too.

Wonderful way to spend the day! I love to hike as well, and mostly ride my mare, tho.. She is getting on in age, too. Love your area of the world! as well as your art.

Now, what can top this--kayaking with Buckley and watching pelicans? Yes...that is art.

Hi Kim and Celeste. Thank you for stopping by. Plenty to do in the summer and Buckley loves his activities. His favorite is going painting with me, as the pace is slow and people are so nice.
