The Hook, The Osprey and a Perfect Plein Air Day!

Today we drove to The Hook, which is near Hood River Oregon. The Hook is a spit of man made land that separates the Columbia River and a small pond and can be perfect place to paint when the wind is not blowing. Today was the perfect day. The Osprey was hanging out overhead as I painted. He was hoping to get a fish and added to the drama of our day. I used the log as a chair while I painted. Rocks do not make for solid footing when one is totally involved in a painting, a bird, and the perfect day.

OMGosh, Donna, what a view!!! I love the colors of blue in the distant hills/cliffs. I would be afraid that the osprey was considering carrying Buckley off! He is a little dog! Looks like you really caught the day in your painting!
