Last Light - SOLD

This painting is from The Deschutes River. We had some rain earlier in the day, and this rain on these dry grasses plus the low light, was the reason I was here. Back when I was learning to use a camera, I read somewhere if a scene makes you stop and look twice, then take a picture. I think this same idea works for painting. If something gives me pause, then maybe there is something here to paint. I love these warm colors of late summer.
