A Great Day at the Office

I didn't know Buckley was an art teacher! How cute those two look! Your oils are really coming along, Donna! I meant to ask: are you toning your boards/canvases or doing any kind of underpainting like you do with pastels?

Hi Donna. Yes, I mix up a very nice purple and use that to block in, just like a pastel painting. That dark purple works very well for trees and then when I add some green it pulls in some of that purple. I am having some fun with this.

That little girl loved Buckley. She kept trying to give him a drink, about every 15 minutes. She sang to him. She took him for a walk, but he would only follow me around. What a wonderful addition to plein air painting!
