Maryhill Winery Day and New Friends

I painted along side the highway today.  The last time this was attempted I found it difficult to concentrate when great big huge eight wheelers few by, but today I simply blocked out the noise and was taken in by the scene.  I like the contrast between the green of the vines and the dry surrounding desert landscape.  Also, somehow vines seem poetic.

Then, a car stopped and I had a nice visit about art, nature, music, travel, and life in general.  Making friends with like minded artistic people is always a treat and added to a very pleasant morning.
